Crane's Rest Accomodations

The Ptarmigan Room shares a lovely brick patio with the Pheasant Room which provides a great view of the bay. It has a comfortable Queen bed and a wall-mounted 19" flat screen TV, Private Bathroom, Private Entrance, coffee pot and hair dryer in the room.

We're located 6.5 miles from Homer out East End Rd. with a fabulous view of Kachemak Bay and the glaciers beyond. We offer a hearty Breakfast from 8:30 to 10:00am and for those early risers there will be coffee ready at 7:00am that you can enjoy on the Deck or in the Living/Dining Room. If you need to be out early, let us know and we will make arrangements to fit your schedule.
Three of our guest rooms are located on the first floor of our home and the fourth (the Puffin Suite) is on the second floor and consists of 2 bedrooms with a private bath. The Kitchen, Dining Room and Deck are all on the second floor to take advantage of our spectacular views of Kackemak Bay, Grewingk Glacier and the Homer Spit. We have a large circular driveway with plenty of room to park vehicles and boats, if necessary. We also have extra freezer space to store your "catch of the day" if you are going to be with us for a few days.
Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional $25.00 fee for cleaning. If you prefer, we can give you the name of a very nice kennel in Homer.

Smoking is permitted outside only.

All of our rooms have Wi-Fi and Satellite TV for your convenience.

The Puffin Suite has 2-Twin beds that can be joined to form a King (shown) in the South bedroom. Be sure to tell us whether you will want the Twins or the King configuration so that the room will be ready when you arrive. The North bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed. As with our other rooms, there is coffee and tea and a coffee maker in the private bathroom as well as a hair dryer for yor convenience. This is the ideal arrangement for traveling families or for 2 couples who don't mind sharing the bathroom.

The comfortable futon has an innerspring matress that serves as a couch or another bed.

The bed has a down-alternative comforter as well as a handmade quilt.

The comfortable Queen-sized bed has a down-alternative comforter.

There's a great view of the Bay and the backyard.

The Crane Room has 2-Twin beds that can be joined to form a King (shown). Be sure to tell us whether you will want the Twins or the King configuration so that the room will be ready when you arrive. There is also a Queen Futon, with an innerspring mattress, that makes comfortable accomodations for 4. It also has a small refrigerator and microwave for snacks and such. Although it doesn't have it's own patio at ground level, like the Pheasant and Ptarmigan rooms, all of our guests have full access to our 62' deck.
